A ray shreds the windowpane burns the pupil down to a dead point while under the skin boiling tar thuds a blind lump of meat tirelessly drives it along branching riverbeds into every crevice no permission granted for this wild knocking in the ears I want to seize up become a cold brick stop time but the bellows of the chest crack tear at the stale air suck oxygen breed insatiable swarms that devour light demand more while dust motes turn slowly in the shaft of sunlight above the table an indifferent quiet dance and bitter saliva gathers in the maw the jaw twitches cracks its joint right beside the ear a predatory spasm wrings the entrails the blind womb howls for flesh and grain demands its sacrifice my hand is foreign as though severed it crawls across the filthy table knots of tendon crunch beneath the skin twisted fingers dig into a stale crust fangs crumble the crust press out of the gums a taste of rust mix it with mud the throat gags swallows sets the fleshy millstones going sucks out strength for another unbearable step animal law beats in the wet wires it does not give a damn that I would rather tear out the root of myself right now the black sponges of the entrails greedily wring out the poison pressure strikes the temples drills through bone bursts the vessels swells the veins to a white howling to a blinding flash where there are no thoughts no fear only this ceaseless pulse pounding me from inside while beyond the glass the wind lazily rocks a branch and the world goes on with its empty motion not noticing how I have torn my heavy eyelids open again felt the dry sand on my tongue taken this humiliating swallow of water that turns the rusted gears and drags my empty shell into a merciless tomorrow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
