Dawn spread its wings on the horizon,
And whispered words to the mist:
— I give birth to the light, I give it its beginning,
Without me, the day would drift into oblivion.
But Twilight laughs with lightness and languor:
— And I lead it under the shroud of dreams.
When the light fades in the valley,
Within me lives its love.
— I summon the song and the dampness of primroses, —
Dawn says, — I awaken life!
— And I bestow peace upon every weariness, —
Night whispers softly: — I am your shadow.
And they converged in the embrace of the sky,
Where the color became — neither light nor darkness.
For they understood: each one needs
To be, at once, both the beginning and the end.
