I stand among people - and see no eyes
That would ask of my soul, that would understand my pain.
Smiles, like shadows, and the ray of nights
Fly by - and vanish into the daily haze.
I am like the moon, whispering to the clouds,
Hearing no answer, only myself.
My heart is like a bird without a grove,
Not knowing where to fly next, or where.
Among laughter and songs, I am silent as spring,
Dying in the snows, never having had the chance to bloom.
No one asks if I have been alone for long.
I will gaze into the world as if into the unknown.
Yet in my chest, it still plays timidly, that tune -
A song no one has heard, no one expects.
Perhaps it is my only spring -
Invisible, quiet... but alive - it is mine.
