Architecture of Two

27

The room no longer obeys Euclid. The straight lines of the walls gently bow to the pulse of your breathing, as if the surrounding void has become a responsive fabric, soaked in familiar warmth. The sharp edges that once maintained a distance now melt into a blurred focus – they tenderly absorb every tremor of a half-breath, every barely perceptible flicker of eyelashes.

The distance between the chairs has lost its metric severity. Now, every centimeter is filled with a peculiar weight, and the air envelopes the palm with the gentle density of sunlit water. You are here, and this closeness becomes a physical revelation – a metaphysical touch that unites the visible with the invisible. It seems as though one only needs to close their eyes to feel how two universes flow into one another.

Beams from the window refract around your familiar silhouette, wrapping your shoulders in a golden halo of higher physics. Photons become stuck in this calm, slowing down to the quiet rhythm of your heartbeat. Your presence turns the emptiness into a breathing matter of light, which you feel with your very skin. Time here loses its linearity, coiling into a spiral around our stillness.

We are spellbound by this new geometry, where distance is measured by the depth of our shared silence. You simply freeze nearby, and the walls take a cautious step toward us, locking us within the comfort of a single embrace. An ordinary cube of living space dissolves into our own macrocosm – closed and yet infinite, where eternity reigns. And at its core – only your peace, which has become my home.

In silentio unitas.
