A Fragment on the Primordial

20

You stand before me,
And I see in you not just a body –
But a Primordial Body.
An image of God whom I remember,
But whose name I have forgotten.

When I touch you,
I do not merely feel warmth –
But I recall a world
In which all things were a single whole.
Where my name was yours,
And your essence – mine.

I remember the Idea of Beauty,
Like a quiet melody,
Which my soul knew even before birth.
And now it searches for it
In your every gesture,

In a gaze that speaks without words.
The truth I long for so deeply is not philosophy,
But a memory of the Harmony
That lived within me,
Until the world tore it into pieces.

And you, like a quiet recollection,
Gather these pieces.
Returning to me not just love –
But my lost Wholeness.

Therefore, I cannot say
That I simply love you.
What I feel –
Is the soul’s return
To its Primordial Home.
Where you always were,
Where we were always one.
Where love was not a feeling –
But the very nature of Being.
