We donned this flesh like a thin veil,
Plunged into human din, illusion, distance,
Where a light game dictates the rules.
We toyed with fire, unaware of weight,
Spilled days as waves spill shores,
Until the tart hour came.
Your laughter rang like crystal in earthly gardens,
We painted tenderness on silent lips,
Wearing this anthropomorphic dress.
Weightlessness of bones, weightlessness of words,
We played at being human, we played at love,
Hiding our ancient knowledge from the world.
But suddenly the flesh grew unbearably tight,
When your hand touched my temple,
And a strange current shot through the neurons.
Forgotten star-bells wept in blood,
All artificial canons crumbled into dust,
And the planet's monotonous noise went silent.
I held your luminous, otherworldly face,
A first cry sobbed within my chest,
That melted the masks into fire.
The circle closed - a divine discharge,
A sacred and terrible rite took place
In the tremor of palms brought close.
The rooms melted away, the grey walls fell,
Existence dissolved in a sea of starry foam,
The phantom, bitter smoke blew away.
We crossed the line where the towers came down,
Blazed up in the radiance of an eternal fire,
Becoming light - pure and one.
The eternal grapevine rose from the void,
Where our uncharted garden burns green,
A garden no earthly land knows.
There the lakes' mirror drinks the skies,
There the vine's pulse streams up into sunrise -
A return to our true paradise.
We are the living echo of gilded waves,
Where time has stopped, and calm settled over us,
Turning the explosion into resonance.
Bodies are only wires for a higher voltage,
We rise without pain or effort,
Merging into an endless trance.
This is not human love - it is a flight past the stars,
In which the spirit swallows the world for ever,
Feeling this piercing ecstasy.
We are the Creator's breath, sparks in the primal blue,
Drowning in the boundless golden depth,
Burning for the last time and every time.
