Light in the Darkness

Be patient with the darkness within you.
Do not light a candle, do not call to anyone.
Let the night remain without witnesses – quiet, like your heart.
Learn to wait. Learn to trust the shadow.

You do not yet know that it is precisely at night that your soul becomes a garden.
You do not see how roses grow from the wounds that seemed fatal.
You do not hear how the stars whisper:
The pain was not a mistake – but the place where you met yourself.

Be patient with your loss.
Do not seek answers where there are none.
Darkness is also an embrace. One that will not let you go,
Until you have become yourself completely.

When it is at its darkest, remember: light does not come from the outside.
You yourself are the light that can only see itself – in the total darkness.
