The square smells of cotton candy,
Summer pours with a lemonade chime.
The carousel flies in a motley flock
Of colors and winds – above a happy land.
The horses glisten with a strawberry gloss,
Manes sparkling like a celebration in the palms.
The sun tosses the day high, like a ball,
So that we may laugh on warm saddles.
The music sprinkles marmalade crumbs,
Bells shining in rainbow circles.
The world spins – and for everyone, joyfully,
A light giggle curls upon their cheeks.
Here, every turn is a wish and a peach,
The heart leaps higher, toward the stars.
Even the air seems sweeter –
Tender horseshoes leave behind glowing embers.
And while the evening paints the edges of the sky,
Lamps ignite a honeyed beehive –
The carousel whispers: “Do not fear, dream,
Joy is a motion that cannot be stopped.”
